I started Sparks & Wonder, with the intention of posting creative projects and sharing things that inspire me, but back in 2013, I was slaving away in the film industry for months at a time and doing my living between projects. I found it difficult to write about what I was up to or be productive or keep any continuity. I decided I didn’t like blogging, converted Sparks to a portfolio site that I was never happy with then just closed up shop for a while to figure it out. Since then, I’ve quit my 60 hour work week, moved from Vancouver to Victoria and I’m trying to cultivate a work life with diversity and time for writing and creative projects. Granted, I’ve spent a bit too much time underemployed and staring out into the yard, but the birds sing here, it’s green and floral. I have a deck! I am mesmerized by the view. So different from my beautiful South Granville place and the roar of traffic.

As I’ve parked my portfolio on a new site all to it’s own, I’m starting from scratch again here and we’ll see where it goes. My portfolio can now be seen at canzilacreative.com.
